Born in London, raised in New York, and trained at LAMDA, Matthew Lessall discovered his true calling behind the audition table rather than in front of it. From Director of Feature Film Casting at 20th Century Fox to a two-term presidency of the Casting Society of America, his path has been defined by a rare instinct for talent, casting Anna Kendrick in her first major film role, among many other breakout discoveries.

Holding dual USA/UK citizenship, Lessall has cast internationally acclaimed features, series, pilots, and new media across every genre, from YA to horror, with productions spanning Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, and the UK.
